SATA CommHealth's Journey in Enhancing Migrant Workers' Well-being
Since April 2022, SATA CommHealth, alongside three other anchor operators, has been appointed to operate medical centres in six strategic geographical locations across Singapore. These centres have been meticulously designed to be pandemic-ready, ensuring the provision of holistic healthcare to migrant workers.
In response to a mandatory requirement by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), employers hiring migrant workers from the Construction, Manufacturing, or Process (CMP) sectors are mandated to purchase a Primary Care Plan (PCP) for their workers. The PCP aims to provide affordable and accessible healthcare services closer to the residences of the workers, thereby enhancing their overall well-being. The plan encompasses a wide range of services, including acute and chronic consultations, statutory medical examinations, annual health screenings, and treatment for simple procedures such as wound dressing, removal of foreign bodies, toilet and suturing, and x-ray services.
Over the past 24 months, SATA CommHealth has embarked on a captivating journey of setting up five medical centres from scratch, serving three out of the six regional zones in Singapore. Through our dedication and commitment, we have strived to ensure that migrant workers receive the highest standard of healthcare services, tailored to meet their unique needs.
The conference will serve as a platform to showcase the innovative initiatives, best practices, and impactful outcomes achieved in the provision of healthcare for migrant workers. It will feature insightful discussions, keynote presentations, and interactive sessions led by esteemed industry experts and thought leaders.
